Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026. These terms apply to notary services provided by Derek T. Roll LLC, doing business as Anchor Notary Group.

What we are, and what we are not

We are a Florida commissioned notary public service. We verify the identity of signers, witness signatures, administer oaths and complete notarial certificates.

Anchor Notary Group is not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, and may not give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice. We cannot tell you which document you need, how to complete it, or what it will mean for you. If you need that, speak with an attorney.

Booking and fees

Florida caps the notarial fee at $10 per notarized signature. Travel is quoted before we book: $35 flat in Cape Coral, $50 flat in Fort Myers and North Fort Myers, and quoted individually further out. Loan signings start at $125. Remote online notarization is $25 per act with no travel fee.

You will know the total before you confirm an appointment. After-hours, weekend, hospital and printing services may add a fee, and we will tell you before we travel.

When we must refuse

Florida law requires a notary to refuse in certain circumstances. We will decline if the signer cannot produce valid identification, does not appear to understand the document, appears to be signing under pressure, is not present, or if the document is incomplete.

If we have already traveled to you, the travel fee remains payable. We will always explain why we are refusing.

Cancellation

Call or text as early as you can. There is no charge if you cancel before we leave. If we have already traveled, the travel fee applies.

Limitation of liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid us for those services. We are not liable for the content of your documents or for how any third party treats them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Lee County, Florida.
